Family Promise Host Week at New Hope: May 24–30

From May 24–30, 2026, New Hope Church will partner with Family Promise of Hillsborough County to host local families experiencing homelessness with hospitality, meals, and the kind of care that reminds people they are not alone.

Family Promise is a national nonprofit with a mission rooted right here in Hillsborough County. Their work helps families — parents and children — stay together while receiving temporary shelter, case management, and the support they need to move toward stable, independent housing.

Host Week is our moment to be that support. As the host congregation this week, New Hope Church provides a safe and welcoming place for guest families, with volunteers serving through meals, evening hospitality, overnight hosting, and setup and breakdown support throughout the week.

This year, we'll be hosting two families during the week of May 24–30.

Here's how you can serve:

  • Provide a dinner for guest families

  • Serve as an evening or overnight host

  • Help with setup or breakdown

Volunteer slots are open now. Sign up here to find a role that fits your schedule.

This is more than a volunteer opportunity. It's a chance to come alongside families in a difficult season and show them — through action — that the church sees them, values them, and walks with them.
