Another Family Finds a Home — Thanks to You
This week, a mother working two jobs, her own mother, and two young children are receiving the keys to their very own home.
They’ve been staying in local churches through Family Promise’s rotating shelter model, juggling jobs, meals, naps, and next steps — one day at a time. But now, they’re moving into stability.
This housing milestone isn’t just the result of hard work. It’s the result of partnership.
Thanks to a focused effort between Family Promise of Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa’s Homeless Outreach Team, this family found not just shelter — but a future.
From Shelter to Stability
Mom has been working two jobs to support her children, all while keeping pace with the daily rotation of the Family Promise schedule. Her perseverance was met with equal commitment from the community. Leaders from the City and Family Promise made a personal pledge to rehouse this family fast — and they delivered.
And just as importantly, volunteers like you stepped in to make this possible.
From donated furniture and kitchen gear to meals served with love, every piece added up to this moment: a family on the threshold of a new life.
Be Part of the Next Chapter
From September 14–21, New Hope will again host Family Promise families for meals, overnight stays, and hospitality. Two families still need support — and we need you.
Cook a meal
Serve as an evening or overnight host
Give to the mission financially
This isn’t just about giving. It’s about restoring dignity, supporting mothers, and showing the love of Jesus to those who need it most.
Because Families Deserve Hope
As we celebrate one family’s success, we prepare to walk alongside two more. When you show up — whether with a meal, a donation, or a listening ear — you are part of their story.
And that story is one of transformation.
