Be a Backpack Hero – Help Equip Students for Success

This June, New Hope Church is joining with other churches and community groups to support Backpack Hero 2025—a local initiative to provide backpacks and school supplies for children and youth in East Hillsborough County.
We’re collecting donations throughout June and will deliver them to be sorted and prepared for Backpack Hero Day on Saturday, August 2, 2025 (9 AM–1 PM) at the Greater Hillsborough County Fairgrounds.
Why It Matters:
A fresh backpack and essential school supplies help students:

• Start the year prepared and organized

• Boost confidence and excitement for learning

• Stay focused and efficient in their work

• Experience equity, even when families are facing financial challenges

• Relieve stress for parents struggling with everyday needs

You can make a difference this summer by picking up a supply list (see below), building a backpack, and dropping it off at New Hope during the month of June. Let’s bless local students and families—and make hundreds of backpacks happen in the name of Jesus!
