DELIGHT Women’s Conference

Did You Miss the Conference or Want to Relive It?

Women from across the community gathered at New Hope Church for the Delight Women’s Conference, a day centered on worship, encouragement, and discovering what it truly means to delight in the Lord.

From the very first moments of worship, the atmosphere was filled with joy and expectancy as voices lifted together in praise and prayer. The day reminded everyone present that God meets His people when they gather in faith and open their hearts to Him.

Throughout the conference, women were invited to step away from the noise and pressures of everyday life and rediscover the deep joy found in God’s presence.

The Invitation to Delight in the Lord

The theme of the conference came from Psalm 37:4, which encourages believers to:

“Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

Speakers reminded attendees that delighting in God is not just an emotional moment during worship—it is a way of life. True joy flows from a relationship with Jesus and from remaining rooted in Him.

Dr. Elaine Frederich challenged women to live with holy expectation, asking each day:

“Lord, what are we going to do today?”

Instead of living passively, believers are invited to wake up anticipating how God might move in their lives, families, and communities.

Removing the “Joy Killers”

In one of the sessions, Rev. Beth LeBrande spoke honestly about the things that often steal our joy. She identified several “joy killers” that can quietly creep into our lives:

  • A negative attitude that focuses on what’s wrong instead of what God is doing

  • Comparison that leads to insecurity or envy

  • Perfectionism that makes us feel like we’re never enough

The encouragement was simple but powerful: our joy is restored when our focus returns to Christ.

Jesus came not just to give life—but abundant life filled with His joy.

A Community of Women Growing Together

Beyond the teaching sessions, the conference created space for women to connect with one another, pray together, and encourage one another in their faith journeys.

Breakout sessions, worship moments, and conversations throughout the day reminded everyone present that faith was never meant to be lived alone.

Many also learned more about local ministry partners like Hope for Her, an organization serving women in crisis in our community and helping them experience long-term restoration and hope.

Carrying the Joy Forward

The Delight Women’s Conference was more than a one-day event—it was a reminder of who God is and how He invites us to live.

When we delight in the Lord:

  • Our joy is restored

  • Our purpose becomes clearer

  • Our lives begin to overflow into the lives of others

At New Hope, we believe discipleship grows through moments like these—when people gather, worship, learn, and are sent back into their everyday lives with renewed faith.

And as we continue to Know Jesus, Grow Faith, and Go Multiply, we look forward to seeing how God continues to work through the women of our church and our community.
