Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ at New Hope,

I'm praying that this note finds you doing well. It's been quite a week here at New Hope with Vacation Bible School happening across our campus. We've had lots of kids and families from our community. What a blessing to share Jesus with these little ones!

Celebrate America — A Time of Prayer & Worship

Mark your calendars! On July 5, we will have our normal, Spirit-led 9:30am worship experience in the main sanctuary. At 11am, however, we will have a special time of prayer and worship for our nation. This will include meaningful patriotic music interspersed with prayers for America — for awakening, for unity, for our first responders, for our servicemembers, and for our leadership.

I know this is during our Sunday School hour, so I'm encouraging Sunday School classes to attend this together.

Lord, please be in our midst as we come together as Jesus' church to lift up our nation, our citizens, our churches, our service members, and our leaders. Please protect our country from the division that challenges our ability to live lives pleasing to you. Defend the vulnerable and voiceless and bring justice to those who have suffered injustice. Realign and unify your people in Your Son, Jesus Christ, who is the author and protector of our faith, as we cry out to you for our land. We love you, Jesus. In Your Name, Amen.
