Faith Responders: Serving When Storms Strike

Faith Responders is our Love Our Neighbors featured mission for October. Founded by laity and Global Methodist pastors in the wake of Hurricanes Ian and Idalia, Faith Responders exists to equip the church to be the hands and feet of Jesus in disaster zones. They provide practical support and the restorative love of God when people need it most.

Thanks to your partnership over the past three years, Faith Responders has:

  • Helped 814 families

  • Provided $368,187 in direct assistance

  • Served with over 30,000 hours of volunteer time

These numbers only tell part of the story. Behind each statistic is a home rebuilt, a prayer answered, a heart encouraged—and you’ve been a part of it.

Why a Generator?

This October, New Hope Church is raising funds to purchase a $325 Solar Generator for Faith Responders. Their team told us plainly: this is their greatest current need. When power is down and cell towers are out, a solar generator paired with their Starlink keeps their team connected in the field.

It’s light, compact, doesn’t require fuel, and it’s ready whenever disaster strikes.

Will You Help?

Give through New Hope Church and designate your gift “Faith Responders Solar Generator.” Even if storms are fewer this year, we know more will come. Let’s meet this need now—so they’re ready when it matters most.
