Fix Things. Help People. The New Hope Handyman Service Team Is Looking for You
If You've Got a Toolbox, Someone Near You Needs You
There's a family in our community right now that has a leaking faucet they can't fix.
A door that won't hang right. A porch that needs painting. A fence that's been down since the last storm.
And somewhere in Brandon or the surrounding area, there's a man reading this who knows how to fix those things — or is at least willing to try.
That's who we're looking for.
What This Is
Men of Valor at New Hope Church is forming a volunteer service team dedicated to one thing: helping families in our community with practical, hands-on home repairs and maintenance projects.
Here's how it works. Men from the team show up to project days alongside other volunteers. They fix things. They help families who can't afford to hire a contractor or who simply don't have anyone to call. And they build friendships doing it.
That's it.
No commitment before you're ready. No minimum skill level. If you can hold a hammer, you're qualified. If you've never held one, we'll find something for you.
Who This Is For
Men who want to do something useful with their hands — and do it alongside other men.
Men who've always wanted to volunteer but couldn't find something that felt like them.
Men who love their community and want to help in a concrete, practical way.
And yes — if you have a specific trade background, we want to know. Plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, general laborers — all of it is useful. But zero experience? Also fine. There's always work that doesn't require a license.
Get Involved
Serve with your hands. Show up on project days. Work alongside other men. Fix things. It's straightforward. No trade experience required — there's always work that doesn't need a license.
How to Sign Up
Fill out the short interest form below — just your name, contact info, and how you'd like to get involved.
After you sign up, someone from the team will reach out one-on-one to learn more about you and figure out the best way to use what you bring.
No pressure. No commitment before we talk.
This Is What "Built to Serve" Actually Looks Like
Men of Valor has spent 2026 building a foundation — through the annual conference, through FORGED, through 40 Acts of Kindness, through months of devotional and discipleship work. This is what all of that has been pointing toward: men who move from formation into action.
Not action for its own sake. Action for people. Real people, with real needs, in our actual community.
"Each of you should use whatever gifts you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." — 1 Peter 4:10
The team is forming. There's work to do. Come fix things.
