Leaving a Legacy in Mozambique: Our July Mission Emphasis

This July, New Hope Church is focusing our Love Our Neighbors mission on youth in Mozambique, partnering with Zoe Empowers and Foundation 4 Orphans.

Zoe Empowers offers a three-year program that equips young people with the tools to become self-sufficient. Many of these teens have lost parents and are raising younger siblings. They enter the program facing hunger and hardship, but through training in entrepreneurship, healthcare, hygiene, and leadership, they begin to build stability and hope.

“By the second year, most are earning enough to pay siblings’ school fees, get electricity in their homes, be food secure, and even start a second business.” — Pastor Vicki Harrison

Participants launch small businesses—farming, sewing, welding, baking, and more—and develop skills that transform their lives and communities. Foundation 4 Orphans partners with Zoe Empowers to support and strengthen this work in Mozambique.

This July 14–25, New Hope’s mission team (AJ Rodriguez, Alan & Louise Howe) will:

  • Observe the empowerment process firsthand

  • Encourage the youth and local leaders

  • Document the progress of our sponsored “Miracle” group

  • Celebrate God’s work and explore next steps for New Hope’s involvement

As Missions Director Alan Howe says, “We’re not just bringing relief. We’re walking with these young people as they learn to stand strong, provide for their families, and follow Jesus with confidence.”

Please pray for our team and these young leaders as they continue this life-changing work.
