Serve Your Community at New Hope’s Bed Build Day

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to building and delivering hand-made, fully furnished beds to children in need. SHP’s mission is to tackle childhood bedlessness, which we estimate to affect nearly 3% of the population.

"Lord, when did we see you..." — Matthew 25

This September, New Hope Church invites you to put your faith into action. We’re teaming up with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to host a hands-on Bed Build Day that will directly bless families in our own neighborhoods.

What’s Happening on Bed Build Day?

On Saturday, September 13 from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, we’ll gather in the parking lot near the Life Center to build twin and bunk beds. These beds will be delivered to children in our community who currently don’t have a bed of their own.

No construction experience required! You’ll be guided by experienced team members and surrounded by encouraging volunteers. Come ready to get a little dusty and do a lot of good.

Why It Matters

We believe everyone deserves dignity—and a good night’s sleep. This project brings together people of all ages to serve together, grow in compassion, and make a tangible impact.
