Primary Duties and Responsibilities
We are looking for a qualified Nursery Teacher for our Parents Morning Out class at a faith-based preschool. That teacher will help build the foundation for their educational and spiritual futures. You will teach them important beginning elements that they will encounter soon after they enter their preschool journey. Must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education and learn about the love of God through you.
Requirements
-high school or equivalent
-40 hour mandated Florida training online
-CPR/first aid training
-preschool teaching experience (preferred)
-background check (we initiate and pay for)
Other
Establish a routine and create a safe environment for the children in their classroom
Provide basic needs for children. (diaper changing, feeding, playing, etc.)
Create and implement activities that are fun and educational
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and meals
Maintain the attendance roster each day.
Participate in staff meetings.
Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child.
Deliver reports on potential concerns about students to management as needed.
Help to close the classroom for summer and prepare the classroom for the new school year.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
• Be able to constantly keep up with and be on the move with up to 4 infants/toddlers at one time.
• Regularly sitting or standing up to 4 hours.
