Trust the Process

Every step matters. Trust the process and keep moving forward.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)

You hear it often in sports—especially during a rebuilding phase: “Trust the process.” It's the mantra of general managers sticking to long-term strategy, even when fans clamor for immediate success from last year’s top draft pick.

But spiritual growth? It’s no different. It’s a rebuilding season of its own. God’s timing is never off—even when it feels like we’re stuck waiting. We mature at different speeds. And while it may seem like others are racing ahead, your setbacks, heartbreaks, and quiet seasons are not wasted. They’re part of your shaping. Your refining. Your preparation.

Underdogs Who Trusted the Process

Sports history is filled with underdog stories that prove the power of process:

  • Kurt Warner — Once stocking groceries at age 27, he stepped in after an injury gave him a chance with the St. Louis Rams. Six months later? Super Bowl MVP.

  • Hakeem Olajuwon — Didn’t touch a basketball until age 15, but rose to become one of the greatest NBA centers of all time.

  • Randy Johnson — Towering and wild at 6'10", he struggled early. But at age 30, he dialed in—becoming a 300+ game winner and strikeout legend.

None of them arrived polished. They grew. Over time. Through adversity. With patience.

Scripture for the Waiting Season

And Scripture reminds us to do the same:

  • Psalm 27:14 — “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

  • Galatians 6:9 — “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Don’t stress about your pace. God isn’t looking for speed—He’s after depth. Your story is unfolding exactly as He intends. Stay faithful. Keep pressing forward.

Trust the process. You’re not behind—you’re right on time.

Have a GREAT week!
