God Is Always at Work — A Word from Pastor Roberto
Dear New Hope Familia,
Have you ever looked at your calendar and realized that God apparently didn't get the memo about slowing down? This weekend is one of those weekends. And quite honestly, I think I love it!
One of the things I love most about New Hope is that there is always something happening — not because we are trying to stay busy, but because God is always at work. So let me tell you why I'm especially excited about the next few days.
Friday — A Next Gen Worship Night for All Generations
First, this Friday night, our Next Gen ministry is leading a Worship Night in Logan Hall. Now before some of us say, "Well, that's for the young people," let me stop you right there. It will be led by our Next Gen, but it's for all generations. Our students and young adults have a passion for Jesus that is contagious, and I can't think of a better way to start the weekend than gathering together as one church to worship, pray, and seek the Lord. Doors open at 7:00 PM and worship begins at 7:30 PM. Come ready to sing, pray, and be encouraged. And maybe you'll realize that the younger generation can teach us a thing or two about unashamed worship.
Saturday — Iron Morning Men's Breakfast: Built to Serve
Then, before you've even had time to recover from Friday night, Saturday morning brings another exciting opportunity. Men, I want to personally invite you to our Iron Morning Men's Breakfast this Saturday from 9:00–10:00 AM in the Social Hall. The theme is "Built to Serve." We'll enjoy fellowship, hear an encouraging testimony from Skip Wilson, and learn from Allen Hansen about the launch of our Men of Valor Handyman Ministry — a practical way for men to put faith into action and serve others with their hands and hearts. No experience is required. No RSVP is needed. Just show up and bring another man with you. Because iron sharpens iron, and we really are stronger together.
Sunday — A New Series: "Let the Lion Roar"
Then comes Sunday, and friends, I cannot wait! We're beginning a new preaching series called "Let the Lion Roar." Over the next several weeks, we'll journey through the book of Amos — a book that may be ancient, but sounds surprisingly current. Amos reminds us that when God has something to say, He says it clearly.
His voice still calls people back to truth, challenges complacency, confronts injustice, and offers hope and restoration. This is not just a series about an Old Testament prophet. It's a series about hearing the voice of God in a noisy world. And I believe God has something important to say to His people in this season. So, invite a friend. Bring your family. Come expecting God to speak.
New Hope, I am grateful for each of you. I truly believe our best days are not behind us. God is still writing the story. Jesus is still transforming lives. The Holy Spirit is still moving among His people. So, let's show up this weekend with expectant hearts.
Dios les bendiga,
Pastor Roberto
