Mark your calendar. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, New Hope Church is partnering with Sleep in Heavenly Peace for a church-wide serve day right here in Brandon — building beds for local kids who currently sleep on the floor.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national nonprofit with one simple, powerful conviction: no kid sleeps on the floor in our town. We get to be their hands and feet for a morning — cutting, sanding, assembling, and finishing real beds that go to children in our own community who need them.
No Experience Needed
If you can hold a sander or turn a screwdriver, you can help. This is a hands-on morning that's perfect for families, small groups, youth, and first-time volunteers — no skills required, and we'll show you everything when you arrive. It's a simple, tangible way to live out the heart of Matthew 25: when we serve "the least of these," we meet Jesus in the faces of those we help.
Register + Sign the Waiver — Before Build Day
Here's the one step you can't skip. Everyone who serves must register AND sign the waiver ahead of time — you cannot participate in the build without it. This is a Sleep in Heavenly Peace requirement, and it's how we keep build day safe and ready to go.
