This October, men from New Hope have the chance to step away from the noise for a few days and be reminded of who they are and Whose they are. Walk to Emmaus returns in 2026 with a men's weekend, October 22–25.
Walk to Emmaus is a community, ecumenical spiritual-renewal ministry — locally run by the Tampa Bay Emmaus community — that brings together believers from churches across the region. We love what God does through it, and we encourage our New Hope family to go and experience it.

What Is Walk to Emmaus?
Walk to Emmaus is a three-day spiritual-renewal retreat built around worship, teaching, and warm Christian community. It's a chance to slow down, be encouraged, and rediscover the grace of God alongside believers from across the region who are walking the same road.
People come home from Emmaus using a single greeting to describe it: "De Colores!" — a joyful reminder that God's grace comes in full color. It's hard to explain from the outside, which is exactly why the best way to understand it is to experience it.
How You Get to Go
Emmaus runs on a sponsorship model — you don't simply sign yourself up. You attend because someone who has already walked invites and sponsors you, and then walks with you through the experience. That's part of what makes it so meaningful: it's a gift passed from one person to the next.
So the first step is simple: visit tampabayemmaus.org to learn how Emmaus works and start a pilgrim application. If you'd rather talk it through first, a fellow New Hoper who has walked — like Rick Rodriguez — is glad to help you get connected.
