There Is No Tomorrow

Today is the day to give your best — in training, in relationships, and in your walk with God.

Theme: There is No Tomorrow
Verse: "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might." — Ecclesiastes 9:10

One of the most powerful scenes in the Rocky series comes from Rocky III.

After losing the championship to Clubber Lang, Rocky turns to Apollo Creed, who begins training him to reclaim the title. During a sparring session, Apollo pushes Rocky to prepare for the relentless barrage he'll face from the new champion. But Rocky falters, backing away and saying he'll start training tomorrow.

Apollo's response is sharp and unforgettable: "THERE IS NO TOMORROW!"

What a powerful reminder. In many areas of life, there truly is no tomorrow. Whether it's preparing for a race, giving your best at work, investing in relationships, or getting right with God — we aren't promised another day. When we procrastinate, we risk missing the opportunity altogether.

This doesn't mean we should exhaust ourselves or live in constant overdrive. Rather, it calls us to approach each day with intention and give our best effort to what matters most. We owe that to those who depend on us, to those who care about us, and to ourselves.

Physically, this means training with purpose. "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize." — 1 Corinthians 9:24

At work, it means prioritizing. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." — Colossians 3:23

In relationships, it means showing up. "Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." — 1 John 3:18

And in our walk with the Lord, it comes down to what Jesus called the two greatest commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind — and love your neighbor as yourself." — Matthew 22:37-39

If we commit to these, the rest will begin to fall into place.

There is no tomorrow. So whatever is in front of you today — do it with all your might.

Have a great week.
