Spiritual GPS
The Bible is more than a book—it’s your compass.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” — Isaiah 9:6
Merry Christmas! As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, it’s the perfect time to reflect on why the Bible is the most consequential book in the world.
Remember road trips before smartphones? You’d stop at a gas station and buy a paper map—usually just for the state you were in. If you were lucky and near the border, you might find one for the neighboring state. But when Rand McNally released a book with maps for all 50 states, it was a game-changer. That book had everything you needed to navigate coast to coast.
The Bible is like that — a complete guide for life. It’s filled with stories, wisdom, promises, and principles that help us navigate both the mountaintops and valleys.
But here’s the catch: it doesn’t work unless you open it.
It’s our Spiritual GPS. Unlike the GPS in your car, you can’t just turn it on and expect it to guide you passively. You have to engage with it. The more you dig into God’s Word, the more clearly you’ll see His direction for your life — and the more inspired you’ll be to share the story of how He sent His Son to live among us.
Today, we celebrate the start of part of that story.
Joy to the World, the Lord is Come!
Merry Christmas!
Have a GREAT week.
