Angels, Sing Me The Story! Christmas Eve Worship Services
Christmas Eve at New Hope
Christmas Eve at New Hope is a celebration of the hope, joy, and light found in the birth of Jesus. This year, we offer two distinct worship experiences—each created with intention and care—to help people of all ages engage the Christmas story in meaningful ways.
Whether gathering for a family-friendly service designed to welcome children and parents together, or a more traditional service marked by Scripture, music, and reflection, both experiences point to the same good news: Jesus is born, and His light shines in the darkness.
5:00 PM – Family-Friendly Christmas Eve Service
The 5:00 PM Christmas Eve service is especially for families, creating a joyful and welcoming space where children and adults experience the Christmas story together. Led by our Family Ministries team, the service invites participation through storytelling and music that points to Jesus as the Light of the World.
Families are also invited to respond to the message of Christmas through a special offering supporting children in Mozambique—reminding us that Jesus comes to rescue us and calls us to care for others.
7:00 PM – Traditional Christmas Eve Service
The 7:00 PM Christmas Eve service offers a more traditional worship experience, with Scripture, choir and orchestra, communion, and a message that brings the season to a meaningful close. This service also marks the conclusion of the Sing Me The Story series.
In Angels, Sing Me The Story!, Pastor Vicki reflects on the angels’ announcement to the shepherds and the promise of good news of great joy. Through Scripture, imagery, and reflection, the message invites us to consider where darkness feels overwhelming and how the light of Christ breaks in with hope, peace, and trust in God’s presence. It’s a reverent, reflective service that points us again to the heart of Christmas: God with us, bringing light into the world.
